Why Touchpoint?
Touchpoint is making in-home care available to clients who know the value of investing in their bodily wellness. When you choose a treatment plan, you’re choosing:
Healing That Honors You
If chronic pain, fatigue, or anxiety has been ruining your routine, shrinking your life, and wearing down your patience with a system that insists on managing your symptoms rather than resolving them, this is for you.
You don’t need another medication that leaves you with more side-effects. You need someone who listens to your body, identifies the patterns, and does the work: at your home, on your schedule, without the runaround.
Touchpoint is for people who are done settling for less.
Driving Is Killing You
I spent ten years in the Air Force being told to “push through” and accomplish the mission. Then I spent a year DoorDashing around Boston trying to make ends meet. After years of popping pills, pounding caffeine, and commuting to and from doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, and PTs, I still had crippling shoulder and neck pain.
When I took a week off and really focused on self-care, the tension began to ease. Then I got behind the wheel again and immediately started to feel the tension return.
That’s when I understood what was happening. Your body can’t fully release tension it’s about to reload. A therapist can address the pattern in the office, but the commute home starts aggravating it again before you’re out of the parking lot. In-home bodywork removes that variable entirely — care delivered to you in the comfort of your own home, so you can experience real and lasting relief.
Hello and welcome! My name is Allen. I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Maryland and a Reiki Holy Fire III certified practitioner. I’m excited to bring my knowledge and presence to the field of bodywork and to help you reach your highest wellness potential.
My experience in the military was important because it taught me how to be present with my work, how to focus deeply and ensure every detail is attended to, and how to collaborate with people to find the best solution to every problem.
It also showed me what happens when your body is not cared for: chronic pain, burnout, and, eventually, disability.
Now I’m on a mission to make it easier than ever for you to get the care you need, when and where you need it. Let me be the one who makes the pain go away!
Peace,
Allen Ernst, LMT
I had the best massage of my life! Allen can transform a mundane room into the most relaxing, soothing, and comfortable space with just his massage table and his presence. I felt like he was so attuned to what my body needed, I could just sink into the experience and let him handle everything. I had a surprisingly emotional experience while he worked on some areas where I have had chronic pain, and I felt completely safe to just have the experience I was having without feeling self-conscious. Allen has a deep capacity for the emotional and spiritual aspects of his work, combined with an engineer’s attention to detail, nerdiness about body mechanics, and commitment to empiricism. Allen truly has a gift and I am grateful to have experienced it.

I have worked with many massage therapists in the past, and can confidently say that Allen is by far the best practitioner I have come across. I received both reiki and massage from him, both services that he delivered with care and precision. He is present through the entirety of each session, offering a restorative and relaxing experience that leaves you feeling completely rejuvenated. As a professional dancer, my body takes a lot of strain, and Allen’s physiological knowledge and energetic attunement was exactly the reset I needed. I cannot recommend him more!

Highly recommend for busy business owners! I’ve had several massage sessions with Allen over the last year or so and I will continue having him do my in-home sessions for as long as I can. It fits so well into my busy schedule, and I get a high quality massage in my home so I don’t have to deal with the traffic and commuting. I can get all the care and attention I need for the problem areas of my body in the comfort of my own home on the days that work best for me. My right shoulder has been painful since I started working much more on the computer every day, and so regular sessions with Allen keep me working on what I care about most and enjoy the most of my free time. He also is very polite and considerate and I always feel safe having him in my home for sessions.

Allen massages with intuition. He listened to what was actually going on with my muscles and responded with care that felt intentional and specific to my body. I felt safe, relaxed, and free to speak up if I needed anything differently. Allen makes sure it’s not just a general massage, but the one you actually need.

I’ve had some of my favorite massages from Allen. He tailors the massage to work on the areas requested. You’ll come away feeling more relaxed for days!

Allen gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. He was attentive to my goals and feedback.

I come to your house with all my equipment, spend the first half hour on a full intake interview and palpation assessment, identify your primary pain patterns and structural imbalances, and then get to work for the hour that follows. You leave with the right treatment plan for your body: no commute, no guesswork, and no obligation to book anything else.
Some therapists use generic techniques to treat your symptoms rather than listening to what your body actually needs, then tell you to come back in a month and do it again. Rather than a one-size-fits-all routine, I put together a unique protocol for you that targets your specific pain patterns. Some people need intensive care for several weeks, while others are fine with a monthly maintenance plan. I won’t sell you a bundle of individual sessions; I’ll recommend a complete package designed to systematically address the root cause of your symptoms.
Each client is a complete person to be healed, not a bundle of symptoms to be managed. I consider everything when designing your treatment plan, from individual tendons and local tension patterns to systemic energy imbalances that affect the entire biofield. Depending on your needs, I’ll focus on increasing circulation, releasing myofascial adhesions, addressing postural abnormalities, and providing an energetic boost to help with tissue repair.
When your body is working well, it’s your greatest asset. When it’s not, it’s your biggest liability. Our society is asking us to work hard and move fast, resulting in chronically elevated stress hormones and suppressed immune systems. When you invest in giving your body the care it needs, you can stop wondering whether you’ll be able to complete basic tasks and start doing the things you love again. Regular bodywork creates the breathing room your body needs to return to its naturally relaxed and energized state.
Most doctors have your best interests in mind; they’re just not reading the right papers. A growing body of clinical research consistently shows that regular massage therapy and other bodywork treatments don’t just help your muscles relax for a few days: they interrupt a systemic cycle of stress signals. When your body is given the touch it needs, the brain releases oxytocin and other neurotransmitters which reduce anxiety, improve sleep quality, and give you a chance to recover from burnout.
You’ve done everything you were told to do. You’ve seen the specialists, filled the prescriptions, gone to physical therapy…and still wake up every morning negotiating with your own body. The problem isn’t that you haven’t tried hard enough. It’s that the system you’re working within is designed to manage symptoms, not resolve them. Not enough doctors are prescribing bodywork, even though it’s been shown to be an effective treatment for people with such diverse conditions as sciatica, insomnia, fibromyalgia, generalized anxiety disorder, and cancer.
If you’re waking up every morning already feeling exhausted, nervous, or simply like you don’t want to face the day, it’s a sign your fight-or-flight response is hyperactive: your muscles are tense, your immune system is suppressed, and you’re constantly preparing for the next inconvenience. By contrast, bodywork modalities like massage and Reiki have been shown to activate your nervous system’s rest-and-digest mode. Your heart rate slows, your blood pressure decreases, and tissue repair begins at the microscopic level. True healing is only possible when you feel safe and relaxed.
You might get a massage every couple months or so, whenever you feel like you really “need” it. But the more time you go between sessions, the more time your body spends in stress, and by the time the pain returns you’re already firmly rooted back in your old tension patterns. The research is clear: single sessions have their benefits, but ongoing treatment has cumulative effects that reduce pain, anxiety, and depression. If you’re ready to reclaim your life, book a Starter Session today and find out which plan is right for you.
